Just want you to beware that the author's execution or follow through for the many resources mentioned within this book are nowhere to be found. I got the book last week. When I could not find any resources mentioned by book on their website (www morelunches com), I wanted to know if anyone experienced the issue. Yes, I found this same concern in a couple reviews. In one 3 star review, the user was stuck in Chapter 7 with a lab that couldn't be finish without the answer. Yes, the author mentions such resources to be located on their website in every chapter I've read so far, but nothing exists there for it!What is so bad about this is that the author provides you with no answers in the book itself for each chapter's lab. He states that if you need help, you can get the answers, go to their website for them. I just want a buyer to understand this shortcoming of the book. Others have provided pretty good reviews of the book content and intended audience, so no need to repeat.I would give much higher stars for this book if the on-line resources where available on-line or in a CD/DVD format included with book. Sadly, nothing exists.
Great book for learning IIS in a easy, quick and concise manner.I wish I had bought this book earlier before learning bits and pieces of IIS the hard way from various web resources.If you are a full or part time IIS administrator, this book will help you get up to speed quickly from start to finish.Well written with good examples that help reinforce learning.I really enjoyed the one chapter a lunch concept. It helped break down the topics into reasonably sized lessons.
I have been waiting for a book like this. I don't know why it hasn't been written sooner. The author does a great job (at least for me) taking you through administering IIS. I have never written a review before but I felt I needed to express my gratitude here.
This is written really well, and has provided a ton of suggestions and help in better understanding what IIS is all about.
