This book was kinda quirky but I enjoyed the heck outta it. Didn’t even realize until I finished it that it was book 2 but can’t see that I missed anything by not reading the first one. There weren’t any references to the first book that threw me off so overall I really liked it. The only criticism I could possibly have was the excessive foul language that Jace used. Don’t get me wrong, I’m nowhere even close to being a saint and use my share of curse words, but it seemed like Chaney got a little carried away. It wasn’t enough to turn me off to the book but just sayin. I’ve already bought the next book.
Jace and Abigail are the perfect space adventuring pair! Their clever conversations and no-fear attitudes make for a fantastic cast. This is a series that would be perfect for the big screen and I really hope that will happen someday. Lex is still a bit of a mystery but I think we're getting closer and closer to finding out who she really is. I applaud Chaney for pumping these books out at such a fast pace so I don't have to wait forever to find out what happens next because I'm hooked!
JN CHANEY....just when you think you know where his crew of misfits and malcontents are headed.....F#$%! ..... You run into a heavenly body. All bets are off. Thankfully for us readers this adventure is just beginning.
I have to say I've been hooked on the series since the first book. I'm enjoying the character growth and each are becoming more and more interesting as the book unfolds.I'm looking forward to the book and recommend if you've started the series.
One journey ends, and another one starts. It all leads to, hmm nope, spoiler. They find a.. nope, another spoiler. Ah whatever, if you liked the first one, you are sure to like this one!
This series is a quick read but a good one. Story moves fast. Main characters are beginning to earn my loyalty as they manage to unravel the clues in their quest. Having read the first 2 books in the series I'm eager to start the next book to see what is revealed to crew of Renegade Star.
I know the media is NOT supposed to be the message. However, typos, poor sentence structure, and grammar errors distract me from the content. I've finished #1 and #2. That's enough.
The whole Renegade Series is well worth reading, and the suspense is worthy of a space opera book. In this title, we are taken to a new level of story line, making it a fun and exciting read.
