I easily read this book cover to cover in 1 day. I thought I already knew a lot about this car. I was wrong! This book has great detail and walks you through everything to look for when buying a Delorean. Its full of fun facts about the car and easy to follow pictures and explanations. Very glad I purchased this book before setting out to look for my dream car. Thanks James!!!

My only complaint is that a book like this doesn't exist for EVERY car. James Espey loves the Delorean DMC-12 and you can feel it in his writing and all of the detail that went into this book. I am at the point in my life where I am ready to start my search for one of these babies and this book is a must have if you are starting to search. Right off the first page, his advice was helpful about not buying a Delorean just because it is near where you live. If you truly love this car, spend the money and take the time to find one that is right for you and what you are intending to do with it. This book will help you with all of that. All the parts that are readily available, some that are hard to find and which modern parts can be substituted/modified to fit your Delorean are all in here as well.I saw my first Delorean when I was 10. As a kid I had thought of cars a big ugly things that people drove around because they had to. I could not get over the fact that someone had built are car like this for the average middle-class American. Truly a design inspiration ahead of its time.

It was thanks to this book that I have my DeLorean, and that I didn't get the other two DeLoreans. One of the DeLorean cars I probably didn't need this book to know it was trouble but the remaining two were so similar in everything but price that an untrained eye wouldn't have seen the red flags that this book warns you about. With the knowledge that I gained from this book it was obvious that there was clearly a far superior car that was on my radar and I got that one. I ended up buying my car from the DeLorean Motor Company Midwest and later got a congratulations note from the author.

I really enjoyed reading this book as the information was very usable (font size was large enough to make it very easy to read, which is exceedingly helpful to find information quickly), concisely packaged (handy A5 size) with color photos and good descriptions. It makes a most welcome accompaniment for anyone seriously looking for a Delorean automobile and wants all the necessary information to hand.I cannot recommend this highly enough, and wish there were similar tomes for other cars.If you are looking for additional 'must have' DeLorean books I also highly recommend the DeLorean: Stainless Steel Illusion and DeLorean 1977-1995 Gold Portfolio (both should be available in Amazon)

This book is a fantastic read. I'm in the process of buying my first DeLorean and this book has been so educational! Thanks to all the information enclosed in its pages I'm confident that I now know enough about the car to successfully "Live the Dream"!I highly recommend to anyone who doesn't already have this book, do yourself a favor and get a copy! You will not be disappointed.

The content on every page is FASCINATING and informative.I'm wondering how I'm going to satisfy my desire to read it all from cover to cover.Well done, James.

I love this book! Ever since I got into the delorean I have always wanted one it's been with me all along. This book showed me what the key guide lines are of wanting to buy one of these cool cars. Now I really want one because of this book some day I will buy one. But anyway this book is really helpful if you want to get to know Deloreans better.
